Role of JaSaVa in coming General Election

1 . The emergence of BJP as a militant anti-people force, based on the nexus of communalism and state protected crony capitalism, is the prime threat of current period. The policies and functioning style of Congress has contributed crucially to help BJP in achieving its present day status. JaSaVa, keeping this fact in view, would initiate a campaign for weakening of BJP and Congress both.
2. JaSaVa realizes that there is a need to go through various current levels of experimental political activities and procedures in order to evolve an alternative pro-people politics. JaSaVa, would try to identify, support and help such embryonic political forces during coming phase of parliamentary elections.
In this context JaSaVa considers its prime responsibility to identify the radical forces committed to pro-people struggle since long.It would be JaSaVa’s priority to support and help such embryonic forces of alternative pro-people politics.
3. In addition to such identified pockets of priority, JaSaVa would support ‘Aam Admi Party’ in general, evaluating merits and demerits individually.
4. JaSaVa would try its best to communicate and advocate hypothesis of ‘People’s Candidate’ among masses during electoral phase in order to get positive popular endorsement. It would also try to identify the possible favorable areas of its practical possibility. If possible, it may even try to test the idea in such favorable one or two areas.

Formation of Election Committee
A four-member Election Committee has been set up to supervise the role, and conduct the activities of JaSaVa during parliamentary electroral phase. The members of this committee are – Gyanendra, Manthan, Jayant and Ambrish.

Right to Reject
Usually the voters, who don’t like any candidate in the panel of their constituency, have a general tendency to stay away at home. They are
unwilling to use their franchise and remain indifferent to the electoral process. JaSaVa would try its best to change this mindset of the voter. JaSaVa would appeal to such voters that instead of being indifferent, they must go their respective polling booth and use NOTA (None Of The Above) button on EVM to reject all the candidate. They must come forward to exercise this right in order to ensure their positive and natural right of rejection of all, if all of them are incompetent.

Suggestions regarding Electoral Reforms

1. The candidature of any person from more than one constituency in any election must be strictly restricted. No one should be allowed to seek elections more than one constituency.
2. No one should be allowed to seek election for any other house/legislature, if one is already a member of any house or legislature. If she/he is willing to contest, she/he should resign first from the current membership before seeking such elections.
3. Legislative Councils, wherever they exist, must be abolished. (The present form of representation in upper house [Rajya Sabha] ‘regarding backdoor entry’ was also discussed)
4. The provision of ‘Whip’ for all houses/legislature must be abolished.
5. All political parties must be brought under the purview of RTI.
6. The voters must get ‘Right To Recall’.
7. All the privileges/specific rights inspired by and continued under colonial spirit must be abolished.
8. The present practice of boothwise vote counting and declaration must be charged and it should be done after random mixing, because the present procedure partially violates the people right of secrecy of franchise.
